Visit Holbrook
The small town of Holbrook is, of course, known as the Submarine Town and HMAS Otway is proudly on display together with a replica of HMS B11, the submarine which sank the Turkish warship Mesudiye commanded by Lt Holbrook after which the town is named.
Adjacent to the submarine is a museum with mock ups of the submarine’s interior and videos showing the life of a submariner whilst at sea.
A short walk away is the famous Holbrook Bakery, Grimwoods Arts and Crafts and the Woolpack Inn Museum containing period furnishings, horse drawn carriages and other period exhibits. Take a moment to browse through Lady Gail’s bookshop & curios for that surprise gift.
How about a coffee and snack at the famous Holbrook Bakery or should you wish to venture further afield you can follow the Ian Geddes Bushwalk along Ten Mile Creek or amuse the kids with a ride on the miniature railway.
